About Josiah Ellington, AGACNP-BC

Josiah Ellington, AGACNP-BC, started with Cardio Texas in 2021 joining Dr. Birnbaum in. collaborative practice as an acute care nurse practitioner. He earned his bachelor’s degree in nursing from Texas State University. He then spent five years working as a RN in the intensive care unit at St. David’s Medical Center. He obtained his master’s in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and became board certified as an AGACNP. 

In addition to his ICU experience, he also has experience as an RN working in the cardiac cath lab, emergency room, and postoperative care unit.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his two dogs and cat, as well as hiking and live music.
